Research has shown that JavaScript indexing is still a problem.

According to Onely, Google does not index all JavaScript content or indexes it with significant delay. Analysis has shown that 60% of JavaScript content is indexed within 24 hours of HTML indexing. JavaScript content from 32% of the pages tested was not indexed even after a month.

Analyzing a random sample of URLs of popular e-commerce and news sites, researchers found that on average Google did not index the content of JavaScript in 25% of pages.

According to researchers, the long indexing of JavaScript content can significantly harm websites, especially news sites. Even if Google indexes the news in 30 hours (which is the norm for JS indexing), the material will become obsolete and the site will lose its readers. Therefore, sites that publish a lot of fresh content should have a more reasonable approach to using JavaScript.
