The influence of the new type of coronavirus COVID-19 is gaining momentum: leading world publications talk about the economic crisis and rising unemployment. I agree with these forecasts, but I will not talk about numbers because the situation is very unstable and forecasts are losing their relevance.
The economic crisis does not scare anyone, because it comes quite often – on average once every 15-20 years. By the time of the Coronavirus pandemic, there was a talk where top nations discussed the future crisis, but no one guessed that it would come exactly in 2020.
All these factors have a direct impact on online business: unemployment reduces people’s purchasing power, which leads to lower sales, and here starts a chain reaction with negative consequences. The digital world cannot be separated from the real world.
The same consequences will be felt in the relations between the states (I do not see any sense in describing it again, and I do not want to aggravate the situation even more).
There is no need to be weak, but to look for options and make an anti-crisis plan, to optimize the budget (especially to review expenditures) and to analyze the market. The crisis is not eternal, 1-2 years is the maximum term.
That’s my personal opinion on the latest developments. Also, I would like to address people who think that this problem will not affect them – you are wrong!
